Best Practices in Writing Reproducible Code - 2 day Workshop
This workshop will take place over two consecutive mornings.
We will cover effective practices for writing reproducible code for research in line with Open Science and FAIR software principles.
Learn
- How to set up your project with Git and GitHub
- How to improve the quality of your code and scripts
- How to create releases and publications of your code
Location: Bestuursgebouw, Van Lier en Eggink room BG 024
- Day 1: Tuesday, 22nd September
- Day 2: Wednesday, 23rd Septmeber
Prerequisites: please take a look at the Preparations.
- Suitable for participants with intermediate knowledge of programming.
- You are required to bring a project to the workshop. This does not need to be a complex project; even one script (and some associated data) will be sufficient - as long as there is room for reworking and improvement.
- Open to participants from Utrecht University and UU-affiliated organizations.
