This workshop will take place over two consecutive mornings.
We will cover effective practices for writing reproducible code for research in line with Open Science and FAIR software principles.

Learn

  • How to set up your project with Git and GitHub
  • How to improve the quality of your code and scripts
  • How to create releases and publications of your code

  • Day 1: Tuesday, 22nd September
  • Day 2: Wednesday, 23rd Septmeber

Prerequisites: please take a look at the Preparations

  • Suitable for participants with intermediate knowledge of programming.
  • You are required to bring a project to the workshop. This does not need to be a complex project; even one script (and some associated data) will be sufficient - as long as there is room for reworking and improvement.
  • Open to participants from Utrecht University and UU-affiliated organizations.
