Denk mee over het UU open access-beleid 2026-2030 

Iedereen die publiceert — of dit proces ondersteunt — is welkom bij deze interactieve sessie. Denk mee over aspecten van open access die jij belangrijk vindt, en help ons het nieuwe open access beleid van de UU vorm te geven.  

Waar willen we het over hebben? 

In deze sessie staan zes onderwerpen centraal:  

1. Bibliodiversiteit: geldt ons open access beleid straks voor alle publicatietypen? 

2. Geen APC's: stappen we helemaal over op diamond open access?  

3. Onderzoekers aan de knoppen: publiceren we straks altijd op basis van preprints? 

4. Gelijke kansen: hoe vergroten we knowledge equity bij publiceren?   

5. Uitzonderingen op de regel: wanneer kan en mag publiceren minder open? 

6. Niet zonder faculteiten: welke invloed gaan publicatiestrategieën van faculteiten hebben op ons open access-beleid? 

Programma: 15.00 - 17.00 uur 

• Opening: korte toelichting op het concept open access-beleid. 

• Ronde 1: kies één van de zes discussietafels. (Nederlands of Engels)

• Ronde 2: kies één van de andere zes discussietafels. (Nederlands of Engels)

• Centraal dialoog: wat zijn de belangrijkste inzichten uit de discussies? 

We sluiten om 17.00 uur af met een borrel.

Help shape UU’s Open Access Policy for 2026–2030 

Anyone who publishes—or supports this process—is welcome to join this interactive session. Share your thoughts on aspects of open access that matter to you, and help us shape UU’s new open access policy.  

What do we want to discuss? 

This session will focus on six topics:  

Bibliodiversity: Will our open access policy soon apply to all types of publications? 

No APCs: Are we switching entirely to diamond open access?  

Researchers in control: Will we always publish based on preprints in the future? 

Equal opportunities: How do we increase knowledge equity in publishing?   

Exceptions to the rule: when can and should publishing be less open? 

Not without faculties: how will faculty publishing strategies influence our open access policy? 

Program: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM 

Opening: brief explanation of the concept of open access policy. 

Round 1: Choose one of the six discussion tables. (Dutch or English)

Central dialogue: What are the key insights from the discussions? 

We will conclude at 5:00 PM with drinks.
